SEABS is committed to provide education that will help prospective servants of God to achieve a holistic balance
It is a balance between spiritual life, academics, ministry, and daily life. For this reason, SEABS adhere to the following fundamental education principles / philosophy:
1. Theological education is rooted in deep, comprehensive Biblical knowledge. Theological concepts and interdisciplinary integrations are built upon this Biblical Foundation
2. This theological education is strategically designed to equip full-time servants of God. Students are also expected to commit to be full-time students, actively taking part in every educational activity that has been prepared.
3. This theological education is also aimed at creating an educational environment that stimultates and instill the spirit of evangelical spirit in each propsective servant of God
4. To become a balanced servant of God, it requres more than academic excellence, but also to be able to manifest a holy and authentic lifestyle, to be a role model for others
5. In addition to personal spiritual abundance, the theological education is also grounded on the genuine vision and burden of each prospective servant of God, so that they can actively participate in church and mission ministry
6. Theological education is also discipleship-oriented where lecturers and staff function as students' disciples, and seniors become juniors' disciples. From lectures to dormitory life, lecturers, staff and all students are expected to model and emulate each other in accordance with the discipleship philosophy
